IFMA collaborates with I2SL on lab FM project
IFMA is uniting with the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) to promote FM education and credentials and develop research in maintaining laboratories and high-technology facilities.
The aim of the joint venture is to promote good FM practices, education and research and allow members to access each other’s benchmarking information about sustainable laboratories and hi-tech facilities.
IFMA president and chief executive Tony Keane said in a report carried by FMWorld: ““Our recent facility management forecasting report recognised sustainability as one of the top trends having an impact on the profession, both today and in the future. With this memorandum of understanding, IFMA will have more opportunities to provide sustainability education and research to facility professionals working in laboratories and similar facilities.”
