Siemens launched Solid Edge 2019 (SE 2019) for convergent modeling
Siemens released the most updated version of its signature CAD software called as Solid Edge 2019 (SE 2019).
Solid Edge 2019 offer some exiting features as well as scope to upgrade to the current technologies. This comprises the capability to reverse engineer imported objects, and new technologies like convergent modelling, generative design, and improved flow simulation. SE 2019 also contains “best-in-class” PCB (printed circuit board) design tools, as well as updated management features, simulation analysis, and cloud-based storage and collaboration capabilities.
Solid Edge 2019’s massive lists of upgrades contain new tools utilized in convergent modelling that allows the engineers to integrate mesh models directly into their workflows. The new tools can also be used for milling, casting, and moulding of generative designs. So, the whole production process is modelled and simulated along with the final product.
Electrical engineers can also reap benefits with Solid Edge Wiring Design having design tools to instantly generate and examine the flow of wiring through electrical systems.
SE 2019 also comes with a new system called Solid Edge CAM Pro that facilitates the users to program CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools, and supports both simple NC programming and high-speed, multi-axis machining. By using the facilities like computerized print and color preparation for additive manufacturing, the designs can be delivered directly to your 3D printer (or 3D printing service).
P&ID Design and Solid Edge Piping Design tools produce superior modeling, simulation, and automated placement of piping systems to SE 2019. These systems can be utilized for automated 3D piping design (together with an included 3D parts library), as well as completely automated isometric drawing output for plant design. These tools can minimize design errors and facilitate to make competent piping design in high risk industries like oil & gas.
Other crucial features in Solid Edge 2019 include superior control over shapes, weight, and strength, with tools to allow the users to “develop new designs which were never possible earlier. Printing becomes fully automated with both multi-color and multi-material 3D printing supported from the outset.
