Brief demonstration of Structural Connections in Revit 2018

This Revit video tutorial is based on Revit Structural connection feature in Revit 2018.

The objective of Revit structural connections is to interchange information on the designed connection among engineers, detailers, and fabricators. This data is saved in the project.

Brief information about connections can contain the following:

• Connection type
• Detailed geometry
• Analytical forces and data
• Materials
• Fabricator identification

By default, connections contain very basic parameters concerning identity data and phasing. Include project parameters and shared parameters to the Structural Connections category to add definite information that can be preserved and circulated with project stakeholders.

It is possible to include tags and generate schedules for instances of structural connections.

All structural connections comprise of two in-built parameters like Approval Status and Code Checking Status.

These two parameters are shown in the Properties Palette. The users fix the Approval Status parameter. The Code Checking Status is filled automatically with the Code Checking engine as soon as the connection is validated.
